In the past weeks Telegram introduced Channels.

A new tool for broadcasting your messages to large audiences. Channels replace the old Broadcast lists and are better in every way. They can have an unlimited number of members, they can be public with a permanent URL and each post in a channel has its own view counter.

Now our plugin supports them! You still need a bot and it should be administrator of your channel to stream content. Zapier is also supported with Channels (if you don’t know it, look here).

What’s the difference between Bots and Channels?

Bots have AI features. Users can type commands and immediately get a response. You can also send messages to your subscribers. In fact, a chat with a bot is a normal chat, despite that replies are programmed.

Channels offer a “one-way” communication. You can stream content to your users, but they won’t be able to reply. Every news has a views counter and you can manage the channel directly from Telegram. But if you want to stream content automatically you still need a bot with our plugin and the Zapier platform.
